Rick Stevens is the Barrister that took on SAS selection in the toughest show on TV, Channel 4’s SAS: Who Dares Wins.

When he’s not scaling, mountains, running across glaciers, deserts and ice caps or holding court, he is a keen anti-bullying advocate having suffered significant physical and mental bullying between the ages 11-16. These experiences had a profound effect on him which he is keen to use positively alongside Kidscape to help young people suffering the effects of bullying today.

Outside of his appearance on SAS: Who Dares Wins, Rick is a seasoned adventurer and accomplished athlete having undertaken some of the most gruelling endurance treks across six continents.

To raise funds for Kidscape:

2018 Rick Climbed Mount Snowdon carrying a 40kg Barbell

2019 completed an ultra-marathon across the Sahara Desert in a weighted vest and run 82km in 10 hours.

2021 completed a 60 mile scenic run

Rick also took part in our 2020 bullying awareness campaign 'Real Lives, Real Stories' opening up about his own experiences of school bullying, sharing how he turned his life around after leaving school by refusing to let his tormentors grind him down.

"My advice to young people is don’t bottle it up like I did. Speak up and seek Kidscape’s help as they really are experts in teaching skills and confidence to deal with bullying. It’s only natural that young people will feel angry about how they’re being treated. But they can channel their anger into something positive that will benefit their lives instead of just letting the bullies win."
