Spectacle Wearer of the Year Award 2009

The stars were out on October 27th for the grand final of Specsavers' Spectacle Wearer of the Year (SWOTY) competition.

For the second year running Kidscape benefited from a donation for every entry made to the competition, plus all the proceeds from an auction of "money can't buy" experiences on the night, deftly compered by Gok Wan.

The event was hosted by Ben Shephard and Jenni Falconer and saw the regional finalists from the UK and Scandinavia competing to be crowned the 2009 SWOTY champion, winning a modelling contract and a host of other prizes.

An incredible £20,000 was raised for Kidscape, which is a wonderful boost to us and will help us extend and improve our core services.

A massive thank you to all at Specsavers and everybody who entered the competition - you have made a real difference to our work.
