Moving up to secondary school with confidence: West Ham players share their tips

40 per cent of 11-year-olds are anxious about joining secondary school, while 35 per cent say they are "scared" by the prospect. Kidscape's RISE programme helps children in Year 6 move up to secondary school with confidence.

The 2019 RISE season kicked off at West Ham Academy in partnership with Basset & Gold. Watch the confidence-building workshop in action as West Ham players Jack Wilshere, Ryan Fredericks and Angelo Ogbonna share their wisdom and reflect on their experiences of starting secondary school and give tips for managing change.

RISE transition support
