Kidscape will receive a share of £1.2 million charity fund from ScottishPower Foundation
We are delighted to announce that Kidscape will receive a share of a £1.2 million funding pot from the ScottishPower Foundation, which champions benevolent work in local communities throughout the UK.
Applying to the Foundation for funding is highly competitive each year. The charities that are successful in securing funding show passion, skill and commitment to making a positive change in their communities.
The Foundation was set up in 2013 to make a positive difference to the lives of people in communities throughout the UK and this year will fund a total of 21 projects in regions the length and breadth of the country. Among this year’s beneficiaries is Kidscape which will use funds to deliver the Help with Bullying Programme in schools, communities and online in Lambeth and Westminster in London and Blaenau Gwent and Newport in Wales.

“We are thrilled to receive £89, 670 from the ScottishPower Foundation towards the Kidscape Help with Bullying Programme. This funding will make it possible for us to support children and families in schools and the local community with practical strategies to prevent and respond to bullying whether face to face or online, and to support children with key social skills as they transition back to school life in these challenging times. Through the funding we will also launch the new Community Leaders programme, empowering adults who work with children and young people, to create safe and inclusive communities where all children are protected from harm."
