Kidscape featured in Twinkl Anti-Bullying round-up

A contribution by Kidscape CEO Lauren Seager-Smith has been featured in a round-up of advice on how to handle & prevent bullying in schools ahead of Anti-Bullying Week.

 

In the UK, the16th-20th November are recognised as the national anti-bullying week, as events happen over the week, formed around 2020’s theme of ‘United Against Bullying’ is being put into practice as Kidscape join other organistions across the UK, South Africa and beyond, in providing their advice for how to identify and assist in preventing bullying.

The article was curated by the children’s educational publisher, Twinkl. Based out of Sheffield, Twinkl was founded in 2010, with a mission to ‘help those who teach’. The company provides high quality, trusted educational materials, which are all teacher-created and checked. This ranges from schemes of work and assessments to augmented reality games and much more. They have been awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise and founder, Jonathan Seaton, was recently awarded an MBE.

 

For the article, Lauren provided her top tips for approaching bullying which include having a unified definition of bullying, listening to parents and carers, focussing on impact, keeping records of responses and learning to recognise patterns of bullying.
