Ben’s 401 Challenge reaches its end, and smashes its target

Ben Smith with Jodie and Nikki from Kidscape

He did it! Ben Smith completed his epic fundraising challenge yesterday, with a final marathon in his home city of Bristol.

The 401 Challenge saw Ben running a marathon every day throughout the UK to raise money for Kidscape and Stonewall, as well as giving talks in schools along the way about his experiences of being bullied.

Ben set himself a target of £250,000 at the start of the challenge, and we were absolutely delighted (and rather emotional!) when donations on the final day meant that he reached his target.

Travelling support

The Kidscape team travelled to Bristol to support Ben and several hundred runners from all parts of the country who joined him for his final event.

We are so proud of Ben and his incredible achievements, and all that he has helped to do over the last 13 months to raise awareness of bullying and the damage it can cause.

He is our hero, and we are incredibly honoured to have been part of this extraordinary challenge. Ben, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
