Tom Bucher joins Kidscape as their NEW Programmes and Volunteering Manager

Tom Bucher, Programmes and Volunteering Manager.
Since graduating with an English Language and Linguistics degree from University of Sussex, I've worked in a variety of different charities, covering homelessness, mental health and children & families social work, as well as working as a Primary Teacher on the TeachFirst graduate programme. I'm also a committed volunteer, having helped out with the CALM Campaign, the Imperial War Museum's schools service, and befriending with the South London Cares charity. Outside of work, my passions include theatre (both watching and being on stage), cycling, football and hiking.

"I'm really excited to be exploring how we can further our impact on vulnerable children and their parents and carers, including launching new programmes focused on younger groups. I'm interested in a holistic approach to building self-esteem and confidence in children and young people, so I'm looking forward to developing strategies that have a broad and long-term effect in these areas, while also continuing to improve and grow the fantastic programmes already on offer at Kidscape."
